In 2018, I began my entrepreneurial journey by founding my tech venture ArcTop Labs. Personally engaging and connecting deeply with India’s growing startup ecosystem events. As an NIT Rourkela alumni and Delhi Chapter member, I gained a rare chance to collaborate with industry leaders. That year marked the Global NIT Rourkela Alumni Meet 2018 in Delhi, expecting 300+ alumni worldwide. The event showcased how NIT graduates are reshaping India’s technology and transforming the industry landscape.
During this journey, I had the privilege to work with CP Gurnani, CEO of Tech Mahindra, and other industry elites. Elite industry leaders from Indian Oil, SAIL, Jio etc, the presence reflected the scale of this initiative. Along with alumni leaders like Brij Sir, Deepa Madam, Vikas Sir, and Sumit Gupta, I experienced firsthand how resources and guidance can transform an ambitious vision into a successful event.
Organizing a large-scale alumni meet required immense effort, coordination, and support. CP Gurnani’s vision and leadership played a pivotal role by providing his Mahindra guest house (JorBag Delhi) as a hub for collaboration. Countless meetings over a year helped us shape the event, connect with other alumni, and mobilize participation for this global gathering. The experience taught me the importance of preparation, teamwork, and clarity when building something meaningful.
Captured Moments: Highlights from the Memoir

On a personal level for 8 month, interacting closely with CP Gurnani changed my perspective on leadership. His ability to think big, execute decisively, and maintain humility left a lasting impression on me. I realized that success demands purpose, vision, and resilience, even in adverse situations. For me, this chapter remains a defining moment of learning from India’s industry elite and understanding what it truly means to live a purpose-driven life.
