I began my professional journey in Gurgaon in early 2006, a bustling city full of ambition and opportunity. Like many young professionals, I quickly discovered friendship through office colleagues who soon felt like extended family.
Startup culture naturally builds close-knit teams, and my experience at Desiya reflected that beautiful reality. I joined Desiya as a tech professional, and within three to four months, our team lead planned a dinner outing.
This dinner became my first real exposure to office party culture, small in scale but deeply memorable. The venue was Yo China, a place that still holds a special corner in my professional memories.
The food felt like traditional gourmet Chinese cuisine, carefully served and enjoyed with genuine enthusiasm. That evening brought our entire team together, strengthening bonds beyond daily work conversations.
Captured Moments: Highlights from the Memoir

Pawan, Virender, Abhishek, Amit Sir, Deepak Sir, and Dholey Sir were all part of this joyful gathering. We laughed, shared stories, and enjoyed a beautiful evening that defined early startup camaraderie.
That night, I tasted Chocolava for the first time, a dessert that instantly became unforgettable. Using my newly purchased Motorola Moto Ming, I clicked a photo of that amazing dessert.
That simple photograph became my first documented office celebration with colleagues. Looking back, this dinner marked the beginning of many startup memories and lifelong professional friendships.
It was more than a party; it was the emotional start of my startup journey.
