One of my strongest memories from early Gurgaon days is our rented house at 1435, Sector 15, Gurgaon. Fresh out of NIT Rourkela year 2006, I joined Desiya Online Travel after initial campus placement training at Erevmax in Kolkata.

After reaching Gurgaon, I connected with my college senior, Suneel Jadon, who invited me to share a space. Along with three other NIT Rourkela seniors, house number 1435 became my home for the next 3-4 years.

This house slowly transformed into a true bachelor den for NIT Rourkela graduates living the corporate life. We lived together, went to office daily, and spent nights discussing business ideas and world problems. There was a time when, at every Friday night party, we’d casually talk about building a trillion-dollar business and solving world problems—half dream, half belief, and entirely unforgettable.

The house had a room, hall, and kitchen built on 800 sqft, on a spacious 4000-square-foot plot. A large open lawn became our party zone for bonfires, late-night chats, and casual cricket matches. During festivals, the house hosted ten to twenty people celebrating Holi, Lohri, New Year, and birthdays.

Its isolated location made the house vulnerable, and we experienced at least two theft incidents there. In one theft, the intruders drank half a liter of alcohol. They found less valuables and failed to dismantle my desktop computer.

Our entire wardrobe was a single clothes hanger supporting the belongings of four working bachelors. Despite the chaos, the house felt like a comfort space after my long startup workdays.

Those days felt like extended hostel life, full of freedom, friendship, and shared responsibility. Looking back, house 1435 remains one of the best memories of my early bachelor and startup journey.
