I have done many adventurous things in life, but nothing matched the adrenaline rush of riding a Harley Davidson on open roads. That belief changed completely when I decided to learn horse riding in April 2025 at Uma Public School, Greater Noida.
The horse riding school had some of the finest and most powerful horses I had ever seen. To start with i want to make statement with old saying that if you can ride a horse, you can control the state, and I experienced it firsthand.
On my first day, I made the classic beginner mistake of leaning forward while sitting on the horse. The moment the horse moved, I felt a mix of adrenaline, fear, and excitement rushing through my body.
In the initial days, it felt unclear whether I was riding the horse or the horse was controlling me. It took time to build muscle memory for handling reins, balancing posture, and coordinating leg movements effectively.
Gradually, I learned to guide the horse, but I also realised it is a powerful animal with its own will. That is when I understood the core principle of horse riding: the balance between “Stick and Carrot.”

To control the horse, you must understand its behaviour, motivation, and respond with the right balance of firmness and care. This principle applies deeply to life, leadership, and decision-making in dynamic environments.
Horse riding taught me patience, perseverance, and the importance of building trust with another living being. Darcy, the horse I trained with, became my companion as I learned walk, trot, canter, and proper mounting techniques.
Over time, our bond strengthened as I handled un-mounting her saddle, martingale, and guided her back after every session. One of my most memorable rides was with little Bhavvya, creating a moment that felt truly fulfilling.
Sitting upright on a horse gives a unique sense of authority, awareness, and control over your surroundings. It creates an energy that makes you feel like a leader, responsible and composed in every movement.
During this journey, I met inspiring people, including our owner of UMA publics school every one called him Doctor, guide Ravi, Prathvi, and fellow riders.
This experience reshaped my perspective, and I now aspire to own a horse someday alongside my Harley Davidson.
